We collect as little as we can, we don't sell it, and we never train AI on your data.
That's the short version. The full policy is below.
Introduction
preset AI ("preset AI," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information across everything we operate: our public website at presetai.dev and related sites, the preset AI Platform (the web app, dashboard, APIs, and MCP server) for registered users, and our related online and offline offerings (together, the "Services").
preset AI is a product operated by fndd, LLC ("fndd").
This is one policy for the whole product. It applies whether you are visiting the website or signed in to the Platform. By accessing or using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.
One boundary worth stating plainly: the design systems, components, tokens, code, and other content you connect to or create in the Platform ("Customer Content") are yours. We process Customer Content on your behalf and on your instructions, under the agreement through which you access the Platform (for example, our Terms of Service, or a separate data processing agreement where one applies). For that content you are the controller and we are the processor; this Privacy Policy governs the personal information we handle as a controller, not the Customer Content you control.
Scope
This policy applies to:
- Visitors to our website
- Individuals who interact with us through forms, sign-ups, or marketing pages
- Registered users of the preset AI Platform
This policy does not apply to:
- Customer Content we process on your behalf, which is governed by the agreement through which you access the Platform
- Third-party services we do not control, even if they are reachable through the Services
Information we collect
Information you provide
We collect information you voluntarily provide, such as when you request early access or a demo, submit a contact form, or communicate with us via email. This may include:
- Name
- Email address
- Company name and role
- Any other information you choose to provide
Account information
When you create a Platform account, we collect your email address and name, and the authentication credentials you set. If you sign in with Google, GitHub, or Figma, we receive basic profile information from that provider to create and secure your account. Within an organization, we record your role so we can apply the right access.
Information collected automatically
On the website, we use Google Analytics to collect limited information when you visit, which may include device and browser type, operating system, IP address (used only to determine approximate location), pages visited and actions taken, referring URLs, and the date and time of visits. For more on how Google uses data, see Google's Privacy Policy.
In the Platform, we record usage and telemetry needed to operate the product and to log AI requests (such as timestamps, the feature area, and token counts). Prompts are never stored in full; how AI logs are redacted and retained is described under "AI and your data" below and verified on our Trust Center.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the website and the Platform
- Create and secure your account and apply the right access within your organization
- Respond to inquiries and demo or access requests
- Communicate with you about preset AI, including operational and product messages
- Monitor usage and performance
- Protect the security and integrity of the Services
We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
How we share information
We share information with the service providers and subprocessors that help us operate the Services (such as our hosting, analytics, and AI providers), with legal authorities where required to comply with applicable law, and with parties involved in a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition. The current subprocessors that process data on our behalf are listed and kept current on our Trust Center. We do not sell personal information.
AI and your data
As a company-wide commitment, preset AI never trains AI models on your data. Your design system, components, tokens, files, and everything generated from them are never used to train any model.
When you use AI features, we send only the context needed to fulfill that request to the AI provider processing it, under terms intended for no-training use. We log AI request metadata for debugging and usage tracking, but prompts are never stored in full: we keep a one-way hash plus a short, redacted preview, and AI logs are auto-purged on a fixed schedule. The providers that process data on our behalf are listed as subprocessors on our Trust Center.
The live specifics, including which provider receives what, the exact retention windows, and where your data is stored, are documented and continuously verified on our Trust Center.
Your privacy choices and rights
Access, export, and deletion
Registered users can export a machine-readable copy of their account data and can delete their account from within the product or on request. On deletion we remove or anonymize your personal data: telemetry is deleted and audit records are anonymized, while organization-owned records and routine backups follow their retention policy. These choices support the GDPR rights of access, portability, and erasure, and the CCPA rights of California residents to know and delete.
Analytics opt-out
You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Communications
You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions or contacting us directly. We may still send essential account and service messages.
Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as required by law. AI logs are auto-purged on a fixed schedule, and on account deletion we remove or anonymize your personal data as described above. Current retention windows are published on our Trust Center.
Data security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit (TLS 1.2 or higher) and at rest, row-level tenant isolation, and short-lived authenticated sessions. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. See our Security page for specifics.
International users and data residency
preset AI is operated from the United States, and the data we hold as a controller is stored in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed there. The current data residency region is published on our Trust Center.
Children's privacy
The Services are not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Third-party links
The Services may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
